My father spent many years at sea – in the cold waters between Russia and Japan. He learned about fish not from books, but among the waves.

One evening in Mingachevir, on the banks of the Kura, I ate fish. A simple table, the sound of the river, the evening breeze… In that moment I knew: I wanted everyone to taste this – and I had to do it together with my father.

That is how BY FISH was born: a family business and a lifelong passion. My father's experience at sea, German wood chips and the taste of the Kura.
